Shotview : MEXX with Cosma Shiva Hagen, ST. EMILE campaign & film, ZEIT and SZ MAGAZIN, Being Jewish exhibition, DR. HAUSCHKA cosmetics, DAZED & CONFUSED, ...

The advent of spring brings a gust of change to MEXX: testimonial Heike Makatsch passed on the sceptre to a handful of new protagonists including Cosma Shiva Hagen who is supposed to represent the ‘Metropolitan lifestyle’ for the company's upcoming season.

However, as the saying goes ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ and so, of course, Markus PRITZI has stayed. Without a doubt, the photographer managed to create an exciting and seductive portrait of both Heike in the last AW 2010 campaign, as well as Cosma Shiva for SS 2011. See evidence here on GoSee.

Jack-of-all-trades Peter RIGAUD has again released several works. His ‘Jude Sein – Being Jewish’ celebrated its opening on the 7th of March at the Jewish Museum in Vienna.

Over the course of last year, he had the opportunity to continue his portrait series commissioned by the institution. The goal of the project is to capture a wide spectrum of portraits, across all generations and to reflect the social, religious and philosophical positions of the Viennese Jewish community.

The museum is located at Judenplatz 8 1010 Vienna. The accompanying catalogue shows all 42 portraits of Jews, who ask themselves questions about their Jewish identity and is available directly from the museum shop or website. (ISBN 978-3-901-398-59-9, € 14,30).

Peter entertained Karolina Kurkova in front of his camera and produced a distinctly minimalist portrait for ZEIT MAGAZIN, which shows her beauty from a different perspective – an unexpectedly different angle considering the plethora of fashion series and campaigns she stars in.

He also shot a portrait of screenwriter Peter Morgan and his silent work in the background of many world famous film productions. Another of Peter’s pictures adorns the cover of SZ magazine Nr.09: to celebrate international women’s day, the magazine illustrated the male being from a female perspective. Peter delivered the image of the ‘Wannabe – Ladies’ Man”.

Peter RIGAUD produced the campaign motifs for Melisse face cream, as commissioned by natural cosmetics client DR. HAUSCKA. The three models were chosen in line with the brand’s philosophy and photographed in a very natural fashion.

The current issue of QVEST features a shoot that pays homage to fashion label LALA BERLIN. Actress Pheline Roggan posed for Joachim BALDAUF’s camera. Amongst other things, Pheline was the talk of the town through her participation in Fatih Akin’s film ‘Soulkitchen’.

The result is a series that is distinguished by a narrative density, reflecting Joachim’s very own style; a perfect accompaniment to the sophistication of all LALA creations. Furthermore, Joachim worked for the new fashion issue of STERN magazine. In time for the S/S 2011 season, stylist Claudia Hofmann and Joachim present the luminously colourful pieces of the new collection against a black backdrop and transformed the series into a flashing fireworks presentation together with beauties Carolin Loosen and David Agdodji.

Last month, we presented the new ST.EMILE SS 2011 campaign. Joachim BALDAUF not only produced the collections’ photographs, but also the accompanying film, which captures the fashion in a paternoster.

Shotview welcomes new entry Ronald DICK. Born in Stuttgart, Ronald is now based in London and Berlin. Within a short space of time, he has already managed to turn many heads on the international photography scene.

His client portfolio includes magazines such as i-D, W, Lurve, Dazed & Confused, Qvest, Common & Sense and Pop as well as Paul Smith, Wrangler Nike, Samsung, Biba, Tween.

In addition to his popular fashion and ad photography, he is also held in high regard thanks to his portrait work with celebrities such as David E. Sugar, Stipe Erceg, MIA and many more.

Amira FRITZ photographed a portrait of musician Jessie Ware for DAZED AND CONFUSED Nr. 195 and was booked by much loved London label CUNNIGTON & SANDERSON once more for the new SS 2011 collection campaign.

Shotview is home to Erwin WURM and Jim KRANTZ, two photographers who recently enjoyed being the subjects of very successful and worthwhile exhibitions. Erwin WURM and his ‘Yes Biological’ exhibition was on show at the Thaddaeus Ropac Gallery on Rue Debelleyme in Paris from the 11th to the 12th of February, where his charming and witty works were celebrated by an adoring audience.

Jim Krantz from Chicago had an exhibition at The Colonie in Chicago with ‘Outtakes Explorations Objects & Individuals’. Furthermore, the spring issue of French BLAST magazine published an article about Jim’s wide range of creative work and his successes on a commercial and artistic level.

Jean-Francois CARLY worked for I LOVE YOU MAGAZINE. He contributed a maternity orientated fashion series to the new ‘Mommy’ magazine, which exemplifies that a round belly and top fashion go well together after all.

Stylist June NAKAMOTO worked on two beauty editorial productions. The first one was for FLAIR magazine with photographer Felix Lammers and make-up artist Yasmin Heinz.

The second series was created for BOLERO and centred around beauty and accessories. June coated the classically infused motifs 1970s style, with of-the-moment shoes, handbags, sunglasses and jewellery, making the series a get together of big names and designers.
