Shotview : Power Play for VOGUE and DALLAS/FRANCE for SLEEK, QUALITY, PAUL SMITH, T-MOBILE, VÖSLAUER, new entry DANIEL SANNWALD, plus art and culture
MARKUS PRITZI – puts an end to winter sluggishness! The current VOGUE story ‘Powerplay’ sees Markus PRITZI present the perfect looks for working out, après sport and stylish relaxation for the upcoming fitness and sport season.
Markus produced the ‘Dallas/France’ spread for SLEEK MAGAZINE with fashion editor Isabelle Thiry.
Joachim BALDAUF collaborated with Jane Garber on a story entitled ‘take3’ for Berlin’s QUALITY magazine. It is a relationship romp with lots of close-ups and alluring arrangements of the three models, all natural and elegant as always.
Once again, Ronald DICK was responsible for the newest campaign for the PAUL SMITH Jeans Collection SS 2011. Currently on show everywhere.
Peter RIGAUD created realistic pictures for the current T-MOBILE media centre campaign ‘Da, wo Du bist’ with testimonial DJ and producer Peter Kruder on the one hand and a student, who shows us how much fun studying in Vienna can be on the other.
After Zena photographed HOLLOWAY top model Carmen Maria for a past VÖSLAUER Mineral water campaign, the current campaign was all about realizing a double portrait of Carmen Maria and Nora von Waldstätten for a relaunch of the bottle label. The comprehensive campaign also saw much-celebrated young actress von Waldstätten and model beauty Maria standing posing for an ad spot.
This month, Shotview presents another absolutely stunning and amazing photographer, who already made a big name for himself after his recent launch into the world of magazines, blogs and ad clients – DANIEL SANNWALD.
Shortly after graduating from the Academy of Antwerp, he already excited the likes of i-D, Dazed & Confused, Vogue Hommes Japan, Louis Vuitton, Adidas, Nike and many more with his work, resulting in a meteoric rise of the young lad from Munich in London.
His artistic approach, which is somewhere between Dada and Surrealism – is paired with an apparently inexhaustible repertoire of photographic style and techniques, which he frequently recombines into something new. He has an incredibly wide range of output and reinvents his signature style from scratch, time and time again. It can be seen in his new campaign for CASSETTE PLAYA SS 11.
Even in the world of ART and CULTURE, there are interesting meetings with Peter Rigaud, Erwin Wurm, Daniel Sannwald and Jim Krantz.
Peter RIGAUD’s solo exhibition ‘Jude Sein – Being Jewish’ will be on show in the Jewish Museum Vienna until the 16th of June. Peter Rigaud’s calm and intensive portraits of Viennese Jews deal with Jewish identity and shows – over multiple generations – the associated social, religious and philosophical backgrounds. A catalogue of the same name featuring all portraits is released alongside the exhibition.
Erwin WURM had the lovely task to illustrate the current cover image for STILETTO Homme with intelligently crazy artwork. An elaborate article about the much sought-after artist and photographer Erwin Wurm is currently featured in Blast Magazine.
Daniel SANNWALD’s ‘GET IN THE HAZE’ is dedicated to the controversial relationship between fashion and contemporary art. Lliure Briz (ESP) curated the exhibition. The show is a potpourri of art, performance, fashion, design and music. The focus lies on an innovative generation of award-winning and respected fashion designers and artists with a fondness of hybrid art forms. Exhibition: 19.5 – 5.9.2011, freiraum quartier21 INTERNATIONAL.
Furthermore, Daniel published his first book ‘Pluto and Charon’ with works from the last years at Ludion.
The book ‘The Way of the West’ is the high point of Jim KRANTZ’ experiences as photographer of the American west. The landscape that radiates through its natural beauty and intensity held a whole country in its grip for centuries.
