Kelly Kellerhoff : Det Kempke on Californication, Sarah Connor & David Garrett, Steffen Jänicke meets Steve Buscemi, Annett Louisan and Adel Tawil

Even photographers need a break. Yet, despite being on holiday Det KEMPKE couldn’t bring himself to leave his camera behind and returned with a suitcase bursting with creative material. During his 7000 miles tour covering the west of the United States, an astonishing pictorial journey between glowing sun and blizzard, through Arizona, Utah, New Mexico and California has been created. For JOLIE, he photographed Sarah Connor and the new violin wielding star David Garret at the Hamburg Design Hotel “The George”. Under the topic of “Small Talk”, the world’s fastest violinist and hottest blonde chat about the thrill that is show business. Fitting to the theme, the two were staged in the style of a duo infernal.

Six minutes were all he had, before he took his leave again from the studio. Steffen JÄNICKE photographed US actor Steve Buscemi, together with Ulrich Tukur for German magazine TV Spielfilm. In his new flick “John Rabe”, we will have the pleasure of seeing him in cinemas from the beginning of April.

For JOLIE, he had two of Germany's most en vogue singers in front of the camera: Annett Louisan and Ich+Ich star Adel Tawil.

Bela B. is not only known as an actor and notorious rocker of German rock band “Die Ärzte”. Insiders know, he was also once a comic book publisher. For one of the most recent issues of VANITY FAIR, Steffen portrayed him paired up with US comic and Sin City author frank Miller.

For a special issue of the FINANCIAL TIMES “How to Spend it”, Steffen photographed a series for Berlin-based designers.
