Nigel Harniman's : MARS ad wins Silver at the Campaign Photo Awards 2010

The Campaign Photo Awards 2010 were recently held at Jasmine Studios, London. The awards were presented in 16 Silver and 3 Golden categories (b&w, colour and the best multi-image campaign) and honour the best of advertising in the UK.

All of the winning works were presented at the event – including Nigel Harniman’s MARS ICE CREAM ad, which won the ‘Grocery, Soft Drinks and Household’.

He was commissioned by the AMV BBDO London agency. The Mars and Snickers brief was to shoot real elements and models on location and to merge these together with a tasty CGI ‘ice cream van’. Richard Dennison and Markham Smith carried out the art direction.

The models and props, as well as backplates and HDRI environment captures, were shot in Brighton to create a perfect final futurist total look.

The winners were honoured with an award and an exhibition, the motifs were also published in CAMPAIGN magazine and other similar publications.
