Upfront : DIE ZEIT classic German literature series, Wolfmother in ROLLING STONE, JOLIE beauty shots, aged superheroes and cool drinks
Photographer Sven SINDT produced the current DIE ZEIT's magazine campaign for Hamburg-based agency Elbstern. The weekly newspaper calls on its readers to pick their personal favourite classic from 100 works covering various epochs. The campaign focuses on the reader and connects autobiographical details with the greatest works in German literature history. Art Director Ellen Struck was in charge of the creation and Antje Merkel applied the make-up.
Sven accompanied Australian band Wolfmother, a few hours before and after their concert in Hamburg for ROLLING STONE. Singer and guitar player Andrew Stockdale overcame his shy nature and dutifully took part in the photo sessions, knowing that his true rock ‘n’ roll spirit could wreak havoc on stage in no time.
Sebastian SCHMIDT contemplated how ever youthful heroes cannot help but grow older and what Superman & colleagues might look like by now. DANI Dörfler c/o BLOSSOM took care of make-up. The charming results landed on the desk of post producer Andreas Doria.
Maybe Sebastian will encounter the odd superhero and comic icon on his upcoming journey to South Africa… if not he will be available for bookings in Cape Town until the end of January.
Rebecca SCHWEINS photographed a beauty series for JOLIE, featuring countless variations of eye shadow. Anika Bergmann took care of the production. MELANIE-MARIE Kania and JOHN Elliott, both c/o ARTISTGROUPMIERAU, were on set to look after the make-up and styling.
In keeping with the New Year, the NORDSTERN studio were busy testing out some refreshing beverages. In their spacious Hamburg studio, food stylist CHRISTOPH Hoefs c/o LIGANORD and the three photographers made frequent toasts to the successful pictures.
The pictures from their December jobs for Simyo and BW-BANK will be presented upon release.
