Frank Wartenberg : Campaign for Berlin water utility
In May 2005 the Berlin water company launched an image campaign for the first time since 1989, in order to make people aware of the amenities of Berlin drinking water and to increase the profile of the public utility. An interdisciplinary team from the corporate communications department thought up the new appearance of the company in collaboration with copywriter Horst Poscharsky. The project management was carried out by Dirk Strehlau from Berlinwasser Holding AG. They then brought Frank on board and asked him to shoot the four campaign motifs, which will be on show in Berlin daily newspapers and on billboards from May until October. A distinctive feature of the campaign motifs is the age range of the models, who can all be seen in water. The extremely wintery weather conditions at the time of the shoots were transformed to hot summer temperatures by special lighting techniques and excellent post editing by Holger Egbers. The hair and make-up, thanks to Nina Muruszach, Vivian Koller and Ingrid Navratil, were brilliant, despite the very wet conditions. And responsible for the perfect styling were Petra Hoefer, Marika Zeimet and Jadwiga Pokryszka.
