Monopol Magazin : The end of photography?
... well it is according to David Hockney. He had a chat with Amelie von Heydebreck and Florian Illies in his Berlin hotel room for the new issue of MONOPOL magazine. The eccentric painter explains to the Magazine for Art and Life why painting will outlive digital cameras and why hes too egoistic to teach. Hockney sees painting as avant-garde and in the extremely exciting chat he refers to art historian Henrich Schwarz, who claims, *that photography wasnt the start of a new vision, but the end of an old one.
