NEW : Monopol Magazine

New recruit to GoSee is MONOPOL, magazine for art and life– and for the art of living . MONOPOL has been available since April 2004 and is printed by Berlin publishing house Juno Verlag and is aiming to be the first magazine to touch on life, just as much as detailing the most exciting developments in contemporary art. *The place to find pictures is not in museums, but in people*, art historian Hans Belting once said. In this sense, Monopol is always looking for the interfaces of art and life. Every person has the monopoly of their own view of the world. How the artists of today see the world and how the world of today is seen by artists, can be read every second month in Monopol. The next issue will be out on 2nd June. Monopol and Fashion: in every issue Monopol features fashion editorials, which in the latest issue were designed by Berlin artist Martin Eder. Eder, the king of kitsch, releases his fantasy here for the first time through the medium of photography and fashion. The artist, who was born in 1968, is counted as one of the most iridescent figures on the contempary art scene: He started his work with technical watercolours of kittens and Lolitas, which border on kitsch. Last year he showed work at the Berlin Galerie Eigen + Art then for the first time an individual exhibition with large format paintings, in which he transferred his own cosmos of morbid, provocative chic through the medium of painting. And meanwhile, work by Eder is being shown in countless large, international collections. One of the photos was put up for sale by Monopol as an edition of 35 copies - which were quickly snapped up.
