recomCGI : PORSCHE Black Edition, dynamic water and clouds for INFINITI G, x-ray look for BMC bikes, portfolio work
RecomCGI, photographer Uli Heckmann and art director Martin Spies c/o BB&K got together to produce another project for PORSCHE. The results are highly emotional B/W images via CGI for a limited edition models web special on the ‘Porsche Black Edition’.
Innovative infrared photography was used to emphasise the Modernist style architecture in the background. The recomCGI team pre-visualised the vehicles on set with Realtime-Software VRED (www.pi-vr.de) and used the same software in their Stuttgart office to edit, render and finally perfect the vehicles in high res in an elaborate post production.
Last year, the same team were presented with the highly coveted Animago Award in the ‘Best Still’ category for their Porsche work (GoSee reported on this).
Jung von Matt Limmat ordered FULL-CGI images in an x-ray look by recom for their client BMC Bikes. Various perspectives and close-ups present the bikes high quality carbon frames and innovative technology.
A follow up series of images, in collaboration with photographer Jeff Ludes and recom Stuttgart and London, was produced for INFINITI USA. This included the generation of architecture in FULL-CGI, dynamic water and clouds in CGI.
It truly speaks for itself that each vehicle was also created using CGI and all adjustments, as well as CGI lighting sessions, were completed on an intercontinental scale using screen sharing technology (client: NISSAN North America, agency: The Designory, Long Beach CA).
In keeping with tradition, recomCGI regularly collaborate with photographers on test portfolio work. GoSee presents brand new motifs by Stuttgart photographer Endre Dulic. RecomCGI provides photographers with special offers on portfolio work and is a regular breeding ground for new, free and collaborative looks.
