The Scope : More late nights for us, less danger for you ! VW campaign by DDB Düsseldorf wins Gold at the Cannes Lions 2010

Only a few of the coveted Lions in the Press category were awarded to German contributions: only three of the 14 campaigns on the Press Shortlist.

DDB Düsseldorf received the Golden Lion for the VW campaign, with carefully created 3-D motifs by The Scope.

Multi-award winning DDB stars AD Dan Strasser and CD Alexander Reiss (Gold and Silver for IKEA’s clothes monster in 2009, GoSee reported), as well as CDs Oliver Kapusta and Eric Schoeffler (Exec.) reaped the success. Anette Gruetter supervised the art buying.

The Moose, Tree and Rock motifs present daily dangers on the streets, especially for drivers.

The Scope built and rendered the safety barriers in 3-D and integrated the stock backgrounds.

This was of course in keeping with the VW credo of ‘More late nights for us, less danger for you’ for happy Gold drivers.
