Basics : The Lives of Others
The cinematic movie Das Leben der Anderen (*The Lives of Others*) has been causing a stir since its release ... The German film is the long-length film by director and scriptwriter Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck. The drama is set in the heart of the East German regime in Berlin and in the 2005 Bavarian Film Prize it won four of the much sought-after prizes. The film has been shown in German cinemas since 23rd March 2006. For the 2006 German Film Prize the film has been nominated in 11 categories, including best film, best direction, best script, best male leading role and best male supporting role. Stylist GABRIELE Binder, who was responsible for the costumes, has also been nominated for the Film Prize in the *Costume* category ... On 12th May the winners will be announced. We are looking forward to finding out who the winners are and are keeping our fingers crossed! Photographer Thomas RUSCH c/o ROCKENFELLER & GÖBELS has shot some new pictures for the new theatre of the senses in Berlin Belle et Fou. ANDREAS B. was booked for the hair and make-up again. Three motifs were produced, which can currently be seen all around Berlin. For the latest issue of HEKMAG GABRIELLE did the hair and make for a photo series by KRISTIAN SCHULLER. The editorial tells the story of fashion in a crime story à la Hitchcock. In the new special issue of QVEST an editorial on the theme *French Revolution* has just been published by photographer Justine, in which ANDREAS B. created the hairstyles and JAZZ the make-up.
