CONTRA Service Productions : offices in China and Switzerland; VW PHAETON, DEUTSCHE BANK, DHL, SHELL, OTTO, ZURICH VERSICHERUNG - productions on four continents

A very special reason for the CONTRA team to celebrate: Since September 2010, the company registration as CONTRA Service Productions China Co. Ltd has officially been completed. The production company is now able to issue Chinese invoices and accept and process projects directly via the Chinese office. Thus, CONTRA China looks after the most important requirements of most Chinese clients.

For DHL, CONTRA and photographer Rüdiger Nehmzow had been on the road almost all the time in early summer and produced over 25 motifs in Europe (Germany, Denmark, Spain, France, Italy, Switzerland and the English Channel) and Asia (Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore and Shanghai). The agency was Metadesign Berlin with CD Stefanie Diers.

CONTRA was on tour for ZURICH VERSICHERUNG in collaboration with photographer TOM NAGY: Two motifs for the world wide Global Corporate campaign were photographed in the idyllic Deggendorf and in Hong Kong's underground. Subsequently, the North America campaign led them to California and Florida. Last but not least, the crew flew over to Great Britain for yet another motif. The agency was Publicis AG, with CD Swen Morath on set.

In addition to the aforementioned DHL and ZURICH VERSICHERUNG motifs, CONTRA organised two further photo shoots for the VW PHAETON. These were in Beijing, China with photographer Heinrich Hülser and in Hainan (Chinese equivalent of Bali) with photographer Ingo Barenschee.

The destinations were Shanghai and Cambodia for a DEUTSCHE BANK project with Mathias Ziegler. At the moment, CONTRA producer Inna is supervising several other projects for BMW and MINI in Beijing.

Furthermore, the CONTRA team produced photo-shoots in Turkey (for SHELL, photographer: Christopher Pillnitz, agency: JWT) and in Majorca (for ANZAG, photographer: Tim THIEL, agency: Ogilvy Healthworld)

For two additional productions, they travelled to South Africa. A collaboration with photographer Astrid Salomon for OTTO (Agency: Kolle Rebbe) and for Burlington, with photographer Carsten Görling (Agency:Lead).

By the way: in addition to the Chinese department, CONTRA have also strengthened their Swiss department with a local producer (Gian-Andrea Albin), a website and a super trendy location archive.
