Food Art Factory : 'My Heaven on Earth' - culinary country love published by GU Verlag
Fresh and natural, powerful and expressive – the pictures for the recently published book ‘Mein Himmel auf Erden’ (My Heaven on Earth) live up to the name.
Photography duo Klaus-Maria EINWANGER and Toni MAIER and team travelled all over Germany, searching for scenes of untouched and sleepy nature in the early morning hours. The result is a series of impressive articles and editorial productions on animal welfare and organic farming.
12 products are introduced by farmers, gardeners, fishermen and hunters and the specificities of their land, livestock and way of life explained. As such, asparagus, herbs, lambs, trout, chickens, potatoes, pigs, apples, game, root crops, beef and cabbage are presented in an informative, yet loving way.
The production's food pictures were taken in the studio of the food factory east of Munich, were food stylist Monika Schuster and Anka Köhler skilfully tended to the recipes by star chef and author Thomas Thielemann.
Alexandra Holzer exhibited a lot of creativity and an abundance of ideas when it came to props, styling and set design. As expected, the collaboration with editor in chief Stephanie Wenzen of GU Verlag turned out just as successfully as the others.
