GoSee Kiez : Apparat + Stereo, the fashion photographer duo and their fashionable guide to Munich
Apparat + Stereo is photographer duo Angie Gassner & Thomas Mailer, who successfully specialise in international beauty and fashion photography. You can clearly see the inspiration - which develops into a concept, which in turn creates a great result - behind everything they do. Here’s their fashionable guide to Munich – just for GoSee.
‘Our day gets off to a great start at the LORETTA BAR : homemade food and drink such as healthy juices, soups, special salads, tasty panini and specials such as mountain meadow tea with Inge ginger syrup, make Loretta a firm favourite for catering at shoots as well.
You can loose track of time inside Munich’s two legendary vintage stores: VINTAGE LOVE by Inge Grandl and ALEXA´S including good stories and unique advice.
At PALMA KUNKEL located on Frauenhoferstrasse you can discover gems of yesteryear and we usually see the newest trends at our friend Caro’s shop PENG.IBIZA first.
Special interiors and cosy home cashmeres, for example by Antonia Zander can be found at LADOUG, Müllerstrasse 30. If you’re looking for bespoke leather creations, have a look at ANTONETTY.
Christoph provides charming wine recommendations at WALTER UND BENJAMIN – a special place for great conversation – and wine of course.
JACK AND EDDY, located on Pestalozzistrasse, makes the most refreshing and tastiest frozen yoghurt in town (the low fat version might even be better than the regular one). And afterwards you can experience some easy breezy holiday atmosphere and great Tapas at MIURA.
And an insider’s recommendation for nice weather: the TU rooftop in Schwabing offers the most beautiful view of Munich.
YUM THAI on Utzschneiderstrasse is especially cosy in the winter and the food has also won many awards.
And if you’re in the mood for some refined art on the go, we recommend GALERIE KARL PFEFFERLE on Baaderstrasse. There you can currently experience figurative paintings by Leif Trenkler, who paints everyday, seemingly trivial scenarios.
Sometimes we’re drawn to the underground – to KUNSTBAU at Lenbachhaus. After lengthy renovation work the exhibition ‘art is nice but a lot of work’ will finally open on 13 November – it’s all in the name…
Modern art lovers must go to MUSEUM BRANDHORST. On the 25th of October a new exhibition with nocturnal views of the sea by photography artist Hiroshi Sugimoto opens there.
And for those that like to experience traditional Bavaria – the DÜRRNBRÄU is the place to be – since 1487. Insiders know that there’s a beer garden in the back. You wanna bet? We hope you have lots of fun.’
