Kalender Kleine Galerie 2010 - a special drawing project by disabled children

The Kleine Galerie, a special drawing project for disabled children, has been published. Handicapped children between 8 and 13 years of age recorded their favourite experiences with paintbrushes and colours. 13 paintings were then chosen by a panel for the Kleine Galerie 2010 calendar.

The project, which was run by The German union of self-help for the physically disabled, ended with a record number of 213 paintings entered for the competition. The painted subjects ranged from receiving a cat as a present, to riding on rollercoasters, a trip to the circus and swimming with dolphins.

The union was founded in 1955 in the interest of disabled people and their loved ones. It supports an exchange of experiences and its volunteers help people who seek advice.

The calendar is produced in the Krautheimer Workshops for Disabled People and will be ready in October.

It can not be purchased in shops, but can be ordered in exchange for a voluntary donation. Reserve your copy by email, phone: 06294-42810 or fax: 06294-428179.
