Sleek : wild accessoires shoot with lama, cockatoo & co, a silky fashion editorial and the dark side of girly horse love with Alexandra Vogt

The Summer 2010 issue of Sleek is wild. And yes, that is an ambiguous pun!

Attila HARTWIG c/o EMEIS DEUBEL photographed half a fashion zoo for the mag’s cover and accompanying spread. The posing menagerie comprised a lama, rooster, donkey and turtle.

As well as a dog, monkey, porcupine, shrieking cockatoo, a cute bunny and his ‘best friend’ – a snake.

Jeanette Hepp carried out the styling and Marén Börner provided the finishing touches in the post production.

Once the wild fauna had been captured on camera, the focus moved onto the flora. Jonathan Hallam photographed model Angelica amidst floral silks.

The team was made up of Fashion Editor Katy Lassen, hairstylist MARK DANIEL Bailey c/o ARTLIST and make-up artist Jose Bass. Alun Davies was in charge of the decadent set design.

We have also attached an extract from the ‘Horseplay’ article.

Author Annika von Taube writes about Alexandra Vogt, an artist who explores the clichéd subject of girly horse love – and reveals its dark side.
