BOOKLET : 2x Gold for Helge Meeuw

The UNIVERSIADE - international students sports event - in Bangkok, seemed to pass without receiving anything near the attention it deserved. A shame really, considering that it is the second largest sports event in the world, it ranks right after the Olympic Games. The German team managed to secure a steady seventh place, outrunning the USA. The position can be largely accredited to swimmer and BOOKLET-Star Helge Meeuw. The magazine meet up with the attractive and equally speedy young man for a shoot and interview in Hamburg for issue #6.

By the way, Helge and his swimming talent got him Gold twice in Bangkok, for 50 metres backstroke in 25.42 and 24 hours later for 100 metres backstroke in 53.85 – both were Championship Records. Our sincere congratulations!
