Camera Work, Berlin : star portraits for be an angel charity

Bid in a live computer auction for original prints! Today, on 2 September 2009, photographs will be auctioned off for charity. The photographs were on display at Camera Work from 25 August until 1 September 2009 – and now at the last minute here on GoSee.

The auction started on 26 August on Ebay. Tonight is bound to be exciting: from 8pm onwards live bids from Berlin will meet the electronic bids. The last auctions will close at 9pm. The photos feature contemporary heroes such as Heidi Klum, Karoline Herfurth, Yoko Ono, Hannah Herzsprung, Anna Maria Mühe, Thomas Kretschmann, Jette Joop, Toni Garrn, Dirk Nowitzki, Franka Potente, Till Brönner, Alexandra Maria Lara, Hannelore Elsner and Veruschka. These stars, amongst others, have been photographed over the past few months by renowned photographers such as Esther Haase, Gabo and Kristian Schuller, for the be an angel charity auction.

be an angel e.V. is an initiative set up to aid smaller, yet equally as substantial charities gain more attention. This year ‘be an angel’ has supported the placet e.V. charity. Placet is currently helping six year old Fahima from Afghanistan who suffered severe burns from a rocket attack. Angel is collecting the money to cover the costs of an operation.

If your budget didn’t stretch to meet the live auction bids, then not to fear : from 3 September onwards, a second print of each motif (20 x 30 cm) will be auctioned off, along with a be an angel charity tote.
