Schloß Lanke : Kourtney Roy leads us to her secret garden
SCREENings.de winner Kourtney Roy photographed an editorial in a “secret garden” just outside Berlin, with models LAURA Berlin c/o VIVA MODELS and NILS c/o M4 MODELS. DIGIROX provided the digital support and the equipment was provided by DELIGHT RENTAL SERVICES.
The location was the forested estate which the Renaissance Schloß Lanke is comfortably nestled in. The castle was constructed in 1856 by architect Knoblauch, assigned by its former owner, Baron von Redern and it still stands in all its former glory today.
After exchanging hands several times, the slightly dilapidated castle eventually became the property of the Berlin council. During DDR times, the estate and its formerly picturesque Fake-Lenné–Park, including an island and fountain, mutated in to a medical institution for lungs, only to then morph once more, this time with the demise of East Germany, into an asylum.
