NEW : Koray Birand, fashion photographer, Istanbul & London, editorials for HARPER’S BAZAAR, 1ST MAG, MARIE CLAIRE and ELLE

Fashion photographer Koray Birand is new at GoSee. He lives and works in London and Istanbul. His editorials regularly appear in magazines including HARPER’S BAZAAR, BEYMEN, MARIE CLAIRE and ELLE. He recently shot American top model Missy Rayder for the January issue of Turkish edition ELLE.

He shot an additional sexy editorial for ELLE with Missy Rayder and Beata Scotkova. Yaprak Gercek carried out the styling. The location of choice was Trumph Tower. The production was carried out by the Elle team in cooperation with the photographer.

‘Queen of the Gods’ is the title of his series which features in the January issue of HARPER’S BAZAAR. Model Kerri Lee Miller was shot in the impressive galleries of the Archaeology Museum in Istanbul. GoSee presents the inspiring results.

Koray shot Austria’s Next Topmodel, Sarah Unterberger, in a colourful series for 1ST MAG. TANJA Kern fixed the hair, whilst OLIVER Szilagyi applied the make-up and SAMY Zayed carried out the styling, all of whom, including Koray, are represented by GoSee member STERNENFÄNGER. The agency was also in charge of the complete organisation of the entire shoot.

An ode to Berlin, photographed at a train station in Berlin, was published in the December issue of MARIE CLAIRE. Model Nina Reijnders was styled by Hakan Ozturk, her hair and make-up was perfected by TANJA Kern.

HARPER’S BAZAAR also published Koray’s ‘Modern Talking’ series in their last issue for 2009. The perfect 1980s styling and matching hairstyles got readers ready for the glitz of the party season.

Before kicking off his career as a photographer, Koray already gathered valuable experience in the TV sector. After graduating from TED Ankara Collage, he studied at Bilkent University, Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture. Koray then went on to work in advertising for film and TV productions, before he made his first appearance as a DOP in 2002. He has worked for several major leading brands and magazine ever since.
