About Serge Hoeltschi

Serge Hoeltschi is primarily a visual storyteller - one who aims to reveal the personal in his work as both a director and photographer. It’s this curiosity about people and evident passion for his work that make his imagery so compelling. It has led to work for such agencies, brands and publications as McCann Erikson, TBWA, DDB, Microsoft, Sony, Coca Cola, Nike, German Vogue and Vanity Fair.

Among the awards Hoeltschi has earned are the Gold and Silver Lions at Cannes, two Clios and two Golds at the New York Festival. The Swiss-born Hoeltschi’s relaxed focus allows him to move effortlessly between his many “workplaces”. Whether on the commercial set for a high profile brand, photographing a Hollywood studio chief or documenting the lives of the native Crow Nation in Montana. Hoeltschi’s strong technical expertise and fluency in six languages, enables him work around the world under the most demanding conditions with the latest technologies.

Hoeltschi is based in Los Angeles where he owns Riff Raff Studio and lectures at UCLA in the Design Media Arts Department.
