Daidō Moriyama (* 10. October 1938 in Ikeda, Ōsaka) is one of the most significant Japanese photographers of the second half of the 20th century.
He studied design and photography in Kobe, Japan. In 1961, he immigrated to Tokyo. His first photography book – 'Japan, a theatre' – was published in 1968.
