'A different kind of Spring' Mathilde Karrer inszeniert 12 handverlesene Flakons mit Blumen Bouquets und Accessoires für das Scentury Mag

Die Still Life Fotografin Mathilde Karrèr, die für ihre aufwendigen Arrangements und opulenten Blumendekors bekannt ist, präsentiert hier bei GoSee 'A different kind of Spring', insgesamt 12 Spring Essentials, entstanden für das SCENTURY MAGAZINE. "To celebrate the season of renewal, I was asked to shoot and style, 12 hand-picked fragrances that are perfect for spring. The result, a lush, multi-faceted collage of fragrant flowers, decorative trouvailles, and eclectic travel memorabili I collected throughout my travels. Discover new beginnings, accompanied by olfactive literary vignettes by Scentury founder Helder Suffenplan," so die Fotografin.

"Karrèr’s goal as a photographer is to create a narrative, not just a beautiful image. With strong ideas about concept and art direction, she loves assembling complex still lifes that combine historic souvenirs with interesting finds she’s collected throughout her own world travels. When a matchbook from a hotel in the tropics, a subway ticket from New York City, and chips from an unknown exotic casino come together in a single image, these unrelated objects suddenly start to tell a story. They arouse memories of journeys made, movies seen, and dreams dreamed, lived, and discarded.
We couldn’t help but draw a strong parallel between Karrèr’s creative approach and the way that perfume invokes innuendos and awakens memories. Indeed, Mathilde is a fragrance lover. The first scent she ever bought for herself was Nina Ricci’s classic L’Air du Temps, simply because she liked the bottle. Today, she chooses more contemporary brands and counts Comme de Garçons’ Kyoto and Loewe’s Woman 001 among her favorites." (SCENTURY MAGAZINE)

PLUS ONE Magazin über Plus One Magazin : "Everything that we do stems from an obsession with good design and good food, combining and celebrating the two as often as possible. In our inaugural issue of Plus One, we wanted to share with you some of the passionate designers, craftsmen and chefs that we collaborate with to make our hotels aesthetically ambitious and our restaurants culinarily inspired. We explore the city we’ve called home from the start — Amsterdam — and the places that we are happy to now consider our homes away from home — Ibiza, Hamburg, Berlin and beyond. We delve into our world as well as the visions of artists that inspire what we do...."

With this magazine, we hope to build the communities in the city we call home — Amsterdam — as well as the growing list of places we consider our homes away from home: Munich, Ibiza, Hamburg, and Berlin."
